Welcome to Azienda Agricola Paliaga; we hope your stay will be pleasant and peaceful, but above all, that you will enjoy close contact with nature, with respect for the environment and the biodiversity that characterises the site on the edge of the Venetian Lagoon.
This agritourism offer is aimed at families and/or country life enthusiasts who would choose it over professional hotel accommodation.
It is a place to observe and photograph birds and, more generally, the biodiversity typical of the lagoon wetlands, once widespread from Chioggia to Punta Sabbioni and now unfortunately almost disappeared due to the profound transformations of the region in the second half of the last century.
The apartment, renovated to hospitality standards, allows you to enjoy stays completely surrounded by nature. With two floors, it has large windows with enchanting views of the Venetian Lagoon, three rooms for a total of 5 beds and two bathrooms on the first floor. The ground floor, consisting of one large room, includes a kitchenette, dining area, large living room and an additional toilet.
Bird watching and “photo hunting”, which can be practised from the car, in plots of land that used to be farmed and that have now been set up to provide a wildlife, botanical and landscape habitat, as well as phyto-purification of water. These wetlands are the main attraction of the farm together with the neighbouring Venetian Lagoon.
The house is surrounded by spaces with tables and chairs and small flower beds of medicinal herbs. There is a refreshing outdoor shower, water pistols for children and a barbecue. The flat overlooks the embankment with a view of the lagoon, and Torcello island, from where it is possible to take shots of beautiful sunsets, and of reed beds that are now very rare in the Venetian Lagoon. The walk is pleasant and relaxing and can also be done on foot.
Small four-legged friends of the families staying at Paliaga are welcome; please keep them on a leash to avoid any potentially undesirable interactions with the resident fauna.

To reach Marco Polo Airport, a bus leaves from the Via Altinate, 25 San Donà di Piave – Marco Polo exit. From the same airport, it is, therefore, possible to reach Venice by various means of transport.
You can reach the famous water city directly by car, although parking in the city centre of Venice is very expensive (around 28 euros per day).
PARKING IN VENICE AND MESTRE
There are various car parks available, such as the large car park on the island of Tronchetto, which can be reached by turning right after having crossed the bridge across the lagoon. From Tronchetto, you can get to Venice in just a few minutes, by Vaporetto (waterbus) or by the People Mover, which provides a shuttle service to Piazzale Roma, the final vehicular stop, from which you can visit the city on foot.
Finally, you can reach Venice – Piazzale Roma directly with the T1 line tram and park for free in Favaro Veneto, Via Monte Celo.
Another option is to leave your car in Mestre – either in the car parks located near the entrance to the Ponte della Libertà bridge or near the Mestre railway station – and reach Venice by public transport, either bus and train.

WATER TAXI
These are small private passenger motorboats (they can carry a maximum of a dozen people); they are perhaps the fastest way to reach the centre of Venice – in about 30 minutes – but undoubtedly also the most expensive.
ATVO SHUTTLE BUS
It directly connects Marco Polo Airport to Venice (Piazzale Roma) in 20 minutes, with regular departures every half hour. Check the timetables here: (http://www.atvo.it/index.php?lang=it&area=23&menuid=35). There is also a dedicated flybus shuttle service from Marco Polo Airport to Mestre railway station.
For further information on ATVO services (Marco Polo Airport connections with the destinations of Aviano-Pordenone-Portogruaro), you can consult the company’s website www.atvo.it.
ACTV BUS
The airport is also connected to Venice (Piazzale Roma) by the ACTV bus number 5, which then makes several intermediate stops before arriving in Piazzale Roma. The journey takes about 30 minutes. The airport is also connected to the Mestre train station by bus number 15. For timetables, consult the ACTV website.
BLUE, RED AND ORANGE ALILAGUNA LINE MOTORBOATS
This is a scheduled service that takes you directly from the airport to Venice, stopping at key points in the city. The service – much cheaper than private taxis – consists of the Alilaguna Blue and Red lines that stop at Murano, Lido, San Marco, Zattere and Giudecca Hilton Molino Stucky. The Blue Line also stops at Fondamente Nuove, while the Red Line stops at Arsenale. Via Canal Grande, the Orange Line instead connects the airport to Rialto and Sant’Angelo, first passing through Madonna dell’Orto and Guglie Ferrovia. The Alilaguna Blue, Red and Orange lines guarantee a departure from the airport every 20 minutes.
During the cruise season, the Brown Line operates, connecting the city centre directly to the Stazione Marittima (“Maritime Station”).
For further details and information on prices and timetables, you can directly consult the Alilaguna website.
Nearby there are various options for visiting beaches: the first is that of Alberoni at the Venice Lido. You can take a private Vaporetto that leaves from Fusina and takes you to the Lido in half an hour. The second possibility is the beaches of Chioggia and Sottomarina or Jesolo.
